Carmen Electra Sues Over Pictures On Website
It must be a cool surge of elation when one finds themselves in a
position where just your name and image becomes an icon wholly owned and
delivered only when you as the owner gives the word.
Most of us are merely content to have a name and often duplicated hundreds
of times by yet others – with the same name.
But we're not Carmen Electra. I doubt anyone but Electra is, since it's just
her movie name. At any rate she has filed a lawsuit against several
companies for using both her name and image on their websites without her
explicit permission.
It all came to be after Electra spent time with ex-husband Dennis Rodman.
The suit was filed on Tuesday of last week in a federal court where she
seeks unspecified damages. What a way for one so mediocre as she is to keep
her bank account open.
You too could be in such a lucrative position, but most of us have too much
sense, and respect, for propriety to act the fool and have our name on
everyone's list of nonsensical people.
Carmen and Alyssa Milano both filed lawsuits against a web owner for running
their photos on pornographic sites. Another proof that such people get the
kind of publicity they spend so much time perfecting. You generally get what
you ask for.
The down side for the public is that sums like the $238,000 and another
undisclosed settlement on another case, keep Milano active in the porn
industry.
As for Electra, she sued the powers that be for the defunct series “Hyperion
Bay” and against Universal Management Services in Los Angeles for use
without her permission of her “likeness”
Apparently Carmen is unaware of how disinterested the public really is in
her nudity – well, except for a particular type of male. To a more proper
person it's all garbage.
