Britney Spears Insurance Lawsuit According to reports Pop music star Britney Spears has filed lawsuits against eight insurance companies. The suit was filed because the eight insurance companies rejected her $9.8 million claim proceeding her knee injury that forced her to cancel her 2004 summer tour. The claim that was filed by “Britney Touring Inc” in the Manhattan Supreme Court , states that the company had paid over $1.3 million in premiums to the insurance companies to cover the entire 2004 Onyx Hotel Tour. The tour was scheduled to include venues through the USA, Europe and Canada. The suit claims that after the tour was cancelled due to Britney Spears' injury and the insurance companies refused to pay the claim, seven are located in Britain and one in France. The insurance companies stated that during the pre-tour medical examination that Britney failed to mention that she had a pre-existing knee injury. But according to court documents her new injury was not related to her pre-existing injury. | ||||
